Welcome to the Space Cows Guild Web Site.

In case you landed here by mistake this Web site is for a World of Warcraft Guild called Space Cows on the .EU Realm Hellfire.

About Us;

Guild Name: Space Cows
Officers: Dace, Niera, Rowanoak, Slipinshade & Venger.
Guild Type: Alliance - Social / PvP / PvE (Medium Core Raiding)

Website http://www.spacecows.co.uk

Advised Age for joining the guild = 18+ (Adult content is often discussed in Guild chat so parental discretion is advised)

A correctly filled in Application to join is required.

Current Recruitment Needs:

Only level 70, well geared and skilled 25 man raiding capable players are being actively recruited for our Raid Wing (T4+ gear minimum).

Other Openings: Check Guild Forum for this information.

General Applications for Social/PvP/Casual Raiders will be considered.

Space Cows is one of the original Guilds created at the very start of the servers life.
(Jan 2007 - Official TBC release day)

Guild PvE Kill Progress:

Doom Lord Kazzak.

The Eye - 3 Kills - Void Reaver and High Astromancer Solarian, Al'ar.

SSC - Cleared.

Gruul's Lair / Magtheridon - Farmed weekly

Zul'Aman - Cleared.

Karazhan - Up to 3 raids Farming per week.

Our current aim is to fill up the small gaps of classes we need to start running more Space Cow raids in Karazhan and gear people up so we can head deeper into 25 man raid.  Currently running up to 3 Kara Raids Weekday nights and we do 25 man raiding during Weekend nights.  We are seeking more people that are already skilled and geared enough for TBC 25 man content end game raids so we can progress further into the PvE game content.

We have a set required standards of gear and skill to Raid any of the above instances, if your gear or skill level does not meet those requirements you will not be selected to go to those instances and we operate a system of checking peoples gear as well as a Sign Up system for Raids.  Till you gear up or learn your class you will not be selected to go to any of those raids as you become the weakest link in the chain and stop people from progressing through the instance because you do not meet the basic standards required to play that level of instance.

We have 3 sections within the guild, those that are;

You can be any of the above or all 3, however for the more serious PvE Raiding side of things the attitude required is considered more serious as are the policies that will apply to you if you choose to become a member of our Raid Roster.

Upon joining Space Cows you are placed on a 2 Week probationary period to try the guild out and let us evaluate you.  At any time during this phase we feel you are not suited to us or information you gave us when applying was incorrect or false we reserve the right to remove you without giving any notice.

Those joining the PvE Raid Wing are not entitled to any Raid Loot from 10 man + content Raids during any raid undertaken during your 2 week initial probation period, this will be at the discretion of the raid leader however.  You are also warned in advance that a much more serious level of playing is required and you will be subject to a DKP system and the usual rules and regulations regarding Raids and Raiding.

More in depth detail About Space Cows:

A friendly and fairly odd Guild that has had some 25 man End Game Raiding going on for a while (Karazhan & Gruul's lair cleared weekly) and some occasional PvP Raiding when we feel we can get enough people to make it worthwhile.
We have at least 40 or 50 members who are active, by this I mean log on and play at least every other day or so. We have a generous handful of Level 70's already with a good few more on the way too.  We value our social aspect and many people feel our guild chat is one of the best if not the best on the Alliance side of the server.

We are looking for Members who are level 50 or above so you have had a taste of the game and have found your way through the basics of the game play and systems. We are more than prepared to help those who help themselves and others and are pro-active in their levelling and skilling up towards End Game content. We are also happy to accept more casual players too who want to relax and have a laugh with like minded players but also keep the option of being able to get more into the serious End Game play if they so wish.

Due to the size of the guild now we have recently restricted the intake of new members to those of level 50 or above only.  Sorry if this stops you from now joining our ranks but please come back when you have reached level 50 and apply then. :)

We have a Forum and a Vent server.

The PvP side at the moment is starting to gain much server interest as our raids are usually enjoyed in semi large numbers on both Alliance and Horde side when we decide to go say hello to a Horde city.

Our previous efforts looked a bit like this:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-p7kY0V7sT8

Some Space Cows members have formed Arena teams and I am currently considering creating an In Guild pre-made team to do Battlegrounds for some added fun for quiet moments.  However due to the busy PvE nature of the Guild  at the moment in time this is not yet considered a priority.

We do not tolerate Beggars, Guild Hoppers, Loot Ninja's or Botters, if you are any of these please go apply to another guild as if you are caught doing any of these you will be ejected.  We also do not allow people to join the guild to gear up so they can eventually move onto a hardcore raiding guild, those caught doing so will be ejected.

As a Guild Member you are required to have an account on the Guild Forum, you are advised up front that some level of participation on the forum is required for most members.  The Guild Forum is used to run several aspects of the guild from PvE and PvP raids to other Member run events.  Guild Chat can often become a Chinese Whispers message system so the Forum is a solid way to Get information out to all rather than rely on broken or incorrectly passed on messages.  the Forum may seem rather complex thing at first but with a bit of use it becomes easy enough to use in a basic manner at least.

If none of this sounds like it is for you, we wish you well finding a guild that suits you better. (:

About the guilds GM:

Venger has cleared Karazhan and was the first Alliance side level 70 warrior on this server (possibly Horde too though couldn't say for sure.) and was amongst the first on Hellfire to become a Level 70. Venger rolled his Warrior (He has more than one level 70 on this server) the first day the server opened and plays on one of his Characters most days.

He and some of the older members of Space Cows formed a strong bond with the Officers of the guild previously known as Outland Revenue, which Merged with several other guilds to become Affinity. Due to not having enough high enough levels in either guild back when the server was very new and 70's with the right kit and skills were in short supply we (Space Cows) formed a rather successful PuG group and started to run Karazhan, again being in the first batch of people on the server to do so.
Sadly after time Affinity collapsed and those members who wanted too came and joined Space Cows so Venger now finds himself with a guild that has much more serious ambitions than he could ever imagine.

We'd like you to join if...

If you think you have what we are all about and fancy joining us, get in touch via our Website recruiting thread and we shall take your application from there.

We are not here to gear you up and hand out "easy runs" so you can get Free Epics, if you constantly come across as a Loot Whore or someone who cannot put in the effort to build a group but are the type to get people to build them for you and then drag you around an instance you are looking at the wrong Guild, we help those who help themselves and show they are Pro-active in gearing up and raiding/running instances.

Some of the things what we will expect from you:

A certain amount of loyalty.
A really good sense of humour. (Guild chat is often very off the wall, and more often than not off the planet n fact!)
Social and interactive.
Prepared to learn more about your class via reading your class forums or by talking to senior members in guild about your class.
Able to play a few hours per week and upwards, obviously much more if you intend to raid (PvE and PvP).
Good manners and polite as well as having the good grace to be a good sport even under pressure or when faced with loss. (We don't ever want to win everything, that would be boring and victory would lose it's taste all too soon.)
Helps to be slightly odd or strange, normal isn't something we do often or well.
Able to work in a team and be prepared to sacrifice for the good of the team.

Thanks for the time spent reading, see you about sooner or later I guess. (:

Conduct.

Space Cows has been around a long time and has established a good name for itself based upon the players the guild has had over the time it has been around.  We worked hard to become the guild we are and wish to maintain that name and standing, so due to this a certain level of conduct and behaviour is expected of the members in the guild or those wishing to join the guild.

Due to the fact this is a Game that you pay for there is little we can actually do to "punish" people, however we can stop you playing the game with our "Guild Tag" and ruining our good reputation and those who do not comply will be removed from the guild as well as take away your access to all the benefits of being in Space Cows offers.

Space Cows for the most is a very relaxed guild in general, due to the fact we are not a hardcore raiding guild.

We expect you to be pleasant and polite unless you have a very good reason to not be and even then we would still prefer you were nice and polite.

Those who are not pleasant and polite and disrupt or spam Guild Chat will be thrown into the Space Cows Dog House (TM) where you are effectively silenced but can still read Guild Chat.

Guild Policies.

Da Rulze

For the Social members you are pretty much free to entertain yourselves so long as you do not cause or bring issues or drama towards the guild or it's members.  Any member who creates any issues that are then brought to the attention of an officer or the GM will be dealt with accordingly.

PvP members are expected to behave in an honourable manner in all their PvP activities.  Camping bodies/Graveyards is frowned upon.  Leeching Battleground honour is not acceptable and you will be kicked from the guild upon evidence of such an accusation that substantiates you are guilty.  I expect every one of your HK's to be a clean kill and one you can be proud to count!

PvE players are further split into the sections;

  • Casual PvE players
  • The Raid Wing

Casual PvE players are reminded that we are not here to boost you through every quest or instance, we are not your personal version of in game Thottbott or Wowwiki.  Please do not spam Guild chat with requests for help on Quests or Instances, ask once and wait for a response, if no response is given then it usually indicates people are busy and can't currently help you.  Ensure you have tried to form a group by the usual channels in general chat for the area of the quest BEFORE you start asking in guild chat or whispering members.

People who are constantly requesting Quest or Instance assistance from the guild will be warned if it is felt they are not being pro-active enough in establishing groups themselves. If it continues after that we will evaluate if you are not getting groups outside the guild due to other reasons such as a bad reputation or you lack the skills to be invited again to play/group with other people you have previously grouped with.

We do not tolerate Beggars or Begging because frankly it's lazy and we do not want lazy players associated with this guild.  You either earn your own cash and items or you go without.

Guild Hoppers are a waste of our time, resources and effort which is why we don't allow them.

People who constantly whine or moan and create ill feelings or promote disharmony within the guild or guild chat will be warned or evicted from the guild to preserve the status quo and keep things running smoothly.  If you have a legitimate issue to raise all well and good, however if you then beat it to death and annoy people in the process you are creating an issue which is not acceptable.

Drama Queens or people who seem to take pleasure in annoying someone for the fun of it, or create inter guild issues will be dealt with severely.  Anyone constantly going out of their way to create drama within guild or outside of the guild will be warned or removed.

Loot Whores or Loot Ninja's will be removed at the discretion of an officer or the GM, no warning may be given if enough evidence is secured to show you are one of these unsavoury types of players.  We will not tolerate it in any form as it spoils the game and brings a bad name on the guild which we are not prepared to put up with.  Any other Guild Master from another guild that brings me enough evidence to show you took/Need rolled for an item or items that you could not use or that someone had a Class specific right too/could use that you could not then you will be kicked from the guild.  Depending on the evidence that supports the claim no warning may be given.  Appeals on instant kick decisions may be made but if the evidence was strong enough to support the kick in the first place you are probably on shaky ground.

If you use any form of program or application to "automatically" play the game while you are not at the keyboard and in full control of your character while it is "playing" the game you are botting and you will be removed and also reported to Game Master/Blizzard for doing so.

If you consider yourself a hardcore raider or a vastly skilled player who wants to raid 5 days a week for 6 hours a day then this probably is not the guild for you.  If that is the case approach a guild that caters for your needs and if you actually are half as good as you think you are they will take you in regardless of your kit and level status because you are that good or have the credentials to back up your application.  Don't come here to gear up and then go elsewhere, you will only make enemies and create bad feelings.  If it is your long term desire to be an uber hardcore raider don't "slum it" with anything less than you feel you are capable of being with, have the courage of your convictions and go apply to the guild you really want to be in.  Below are the links to this Servers Top Alliance PvE Hardcore raiding guilds Application forums, good luck. :)

Dissidence - Phantas Magoria - Valorous

We raid together as a Guild, if you are not available to raid with us because you have raided already with another guild and are locked to that raid with them when we want to raid what use to the guild are you?  None.  So you make a choice, raid with us or join the guild you want to raid with it's that simple.  You become a guild asset when you join us, like a weapon in an armoury, if when we want to utilise that weapons & we can't because someone else "Borrowed you" then the guild you are in has to make alternate arrangements which to be honest we should not have to because you chose to be a member of this guild.  Exceptions were made about this when people who asked for permission beforehand however in the end this still created issues so it is now not accepted because of those issues.

The Raid Wing.

This is the section of the guild who are more concerned with getting as far into the game as possible, somewhat more serious about or dedicated than the average Guild member or player.  More is asked of and expected from these players as they require more from the game and the people they Raid with.  A high level of understanding of the game, the game mechanics, the class and classes is also required before you can enter this side of the game or the guild for that matter.  You must have sufficient gear, skill and ability to gain access to this area of the guild.  While it is not an Elitist section some of the players here are Elite players with top end gear and superior skills and knowledge and to play at this level requires that gear and skill.  This is where the best of the guild come too to perform at their best within the PvE environment of the game.

F.A.Q

Required to Apply?  Why?

A few simple reasons really.  Firstly it's your initial approach to our guild, we would rather have all the simple required questions dealt with in as easy a manner as possible so any one of the officers online or around at the time can read and evaluate.  Rather than all the officers having to have a conversation with you and then each other they can simply read your application and view the answers instead, much easier.

It's also to see if you can respond and react to a simple instruction as well as communicate yourself in a basic manner, if you cannot take the time to spend a few moments doing something as simple as answering a few questions we would have to wonder about if you have the qualities we are looking for in someone who wants to spend time in the guild or even raid with us.

We also use your Application as a record of when you applied for our own reasons, it's a simple and easy way of keeping guild Administration down to a minimum.

Why do I have to be level 50 or above now to join?

Simply put a lot of the lower level members were starting to get lost or feel left out by the main topics talked about in Space Cows Guild Chat and the fact they were missing out on the later end content of the game for so long.  Many where also overwhelmed by having so many higher levels above them and so few people at their level I thought it was getting slightly unfair to the lower levels so I made a decision to change the minimum required level to join from 25 to level 50.

What is a Social Member?

You play for fun, you like chatting with people in guild chat, you enjoy running instances once in a while, you have no serious agenda to complete and no timetable to worry about.  You are as chilled as an ice cube and can't understand why people spend 16 hours a day or more playing the game.

What is a PvP Member?

Horde, where, are they flagged?  GET THEM NOW!

Or...

Dude I told you to HEAD FECKING SOUTH not fart around taking GY's in the middle of AV FFS!!!!!!

What is a PvE Raider?

Sleep is for the weak, farming 15 hours a day for the mats to craft my next kit upgrade is normal what do you mean it's freaky?  So what if I spent 12 hours farming Pots and Mats to make consumables so I can raid for 4 hours, it's what I live and breathe for alright?

Da Rulze smiley
